Shadow

Our family cat, Shadow, passed away during the night on Saturday. Shadow was 20-22 years old, so he had a great life. This past month was really getting tough on Shadow, he could hardly move anymore. We all figured Shadow was going to pass away on Saturday so we all said our goodbyes and told Shadow how much we loved him. I was so happy to be able to be home for his passing. On Sunday when we all woke up Shadow was still breathing a little, but we thought it would be best to take him in to be put to sleep so he didn't have to suffer anymore. Katie, JohnPaul and I brought him in. But when we got there the Vet said Shadow had already passed away and what looked like breathing was just extra Co2 releasing from his body. We were all so happy Shadow passed at home, we really didn't want to put him to sleep. We all loved Shadow so much and he will be missed! These are the last pictures of Shadow I took on Saturday.

Parade And Pumpkin Patch

Finally here are some pictures from Minnesota. Branden, my Mom and I went to the Anoka Halloween Parade on Saturday. It was a lot of fun, but the parade did get to be a little long so we didn't stay for the whole thing. Branden likes the music of the bands. After we went to the Pumpkin Market off of 101. There was tons of stuff for Branden to do there. But Branden had the most fun picking out pumpkins for everyone. Of course he picked out the biggest one for himself and small ones for everyone else. Minnesota

I have been in Minnesota now for a week and some and my time has gone by fast. I am really happy to be able to be home during this hard time. Everyone is still in shock over Becky's death. It still doesn't seem real. Matty is staying at my parent's house during the week so we can drive him to school. It has been nice being able to spend a lot of time with him. Branden really likes Matty. He always wants to show Matty all his toys. Branden was sick this past week and is now finally feeling better. We have been stuck in the house while he was sick, so now we can finally go out and see some people. Branden did ok on the plane ride over. I'm not too excited about the flight back, but I'll be fine. It just gets to be so long. Also, he did fine with the time change it took him about 4-5 days to get on Minnesota time. He is still waking up early, but atleast he is sleeping through the night.

Branden got to meet his cousin Cooper yesterday for the first time. He had fun playing at McDonalds with him. Cooper and Branden are just about a year apart, so they should be really close friends.

Branden is missing his daddy and can't wait to give him hugs and kisses when we get back to Germany!

This Can't Be True

I am so sadden by the loss of my auntie Becky. I'm still in total shock, as I believe almost everyone is. This doesn't seem real. I'm at such a loss for words right now. My heart breaks for Ashley and Matty, but happy to know we have such a strong family support system they can turn to. I have many great memories of Becky since we worked together for so long. She will always be alive in my heart.

I can't make it home for the funeral because I got really sick, but expect to see Branden and me soon. David is really sorry he can't make it home at all because of school.

Finger Painting

Branden loves to finger paint, but boy is it a messy art project! He loves to put the paint all over his legs and feet, he thinks he is being so silly when he does that. Here we are painting with apples and using them as a stamp. It will be so nice when Branden has his own craft room with a table he can sit at and not have to worry as much when he spills.
Mom, can I hold the camera?

Branden getting paint all over the rug and house! Straight to the bathtub we go!
